That is from a uk web site, the story is 3 years old. Fire occured in 2019. Must be a slow news day.
What I want to know is why did she leave her 2 children alone in the car in a parking lot ? Sad this happened but as much as I'm not a big fan of Walmart they are not at fault.Marcy & Gary

Let's blame the real culprit: the moron who set his van on fire.

Her lawsuit against Walmart for running an unregulated campground is brand new, even though the person whose vehicle caught on fire had already been convicted.
Likely some high level discussions in Arkansas about liability vs revenue/marketing to campers has been going on.2017 Imagine 2670MK

I don't believe WalMart is running an unregulated campground. They don't let you stay there for indefinite time, and there are no campground "amenities". What they do is say that you can stay overnight (as in ONE night) but they claim no liability for anything that happens to you.
I found this quote from an article about staying overnight in the WalMart lots:
“While we do not offer electrical service or accommodations typically necessary for RV customers, Walmart values RV travelers and considers them among our best customers. Consequently, we do permit RV parking on our store parking lots as we are able. Permission to park is extended by individual store managers, based on availability of parking space and local laws. Please contact management in each store to ensure accommodations before parking your RV”.
The last sentence is real important to understand.
