water filter cartridge

Anyone have a replacement cartridge source for the factory water filter? I'm not sure what kind the factory put in (i.e. paper or charcoal) and I need to sanitize my water tank after two months of sitting. Dealership doesn't have any that fit. URL on the original filter label is no longer active. Standard 10"? I'm presuming the cartridge will get sanitized and might be tough to get the chlorine smell out.

First, remove the cartridge before you sanitize. Second, I assume you are talking about the blue filter in the wet bay; if so, that is a standard 10 micron sediment filter. You can get them at just home improvement stores, Wally World, CW (yes I did just mention them), Amazon, the Water Store, etc.

Our OEM filter housing and its replacement used/use standard 10" filters. I use the Camco EVO filters (two-stage). They're the best balance of non-clogging sediment and charcoal filtration I've found:

We have a separate under-counter filter system with a spigot next to the kitchen faucet for water for drinking and cooking. It uses this filter cartridge (not suitable for whole-house due to low flow rate):

If it is a standard canister filter, there are many choices. Activated charcoal at about 10 micron would probably work well (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B071QXV72Q).

Believe it or not, this is the time where Camping World is useful. They always have a good supply, any 10" version will fit, just pick your level of filtration. CW also offers a military discount if you're eligible. For pretty much anything else, I would never recommend CW.

Thanks all - probably heading to the dealership anyway - maybe they have new stock. Drained the hot water heater and the anode rod is very thin by the bolt end and I don't want that to break off in the tank.

If you buy that anode rod from Camping World you'll pay a premium. You can get them online, I got mine off Ebay and it was 2 magnesium rods for about $11.
