Pin box question
Does anyone know of the "standard" pin box that comes on a 2022 303 RLS? Do they put different ones on or is there a set box that goes on every Reflection 5th wheel?

Unless things have changed, it should be a Lippert 1621 pin box.

Thank you Rob. I had a Curt 16A with roller installed. Will these work well together or will I need to do anything to it for smooth towing?

Sorry - but I don't have an answer to your question (not familiar with the Curt setup or what a "roller" is). We replaced the Lippert 1621 on our Reflection with a Demco Glide Ride dampened pin box. It was a huge improvement. MORryde also makes an excellent dampened pin box (comes standard on the Solitudes and Momentums, now).

Thanks - I had forgotten about that. Perhaps @huntr70 can give us the scoop.

GD contacted Lippert. The pin box is a 1621. Now the question is to go with a Morryde or the Curt Air pin box. What is the consensus from you guys?

I had ours upgraded at the dealer before we even picked it up. We have the Morryde Rubber Pin Box. I didn't want to fiddle with checking air in another device. With 10 tires (including the spare for the truck and the spare for the trailer), I just didn't want to mess with it. That's also another reason I put Sumo Springs on the truck and trailer instead of air bags.

No experience with the Curt air pin box. We noticed the better ride from MorRyde as it helped eliminate chucking when crossing bridges or road expansion joints being experienced with the standard pin box. Based on very few negative reviews- No air bag to maintain and overall unit cost was a driving factor on why we went with MorRyde. By looking at the CAPB design I can see a vertical load ride improvement with the airbag, but not so much related to eliminate chucking based on the pivot point being so low and inline with the pin. IMO.
