    Chad,

Good wright up, thanks for sharing. I also added wet bolts a couple years ago. Can't say I noticed a difference in the ride, but it's a lot more quiet. No more moaning and groaning when making slow turns and backing up.

Thought I would update this thread now that we've traveled enough with the trailer since adding the shock absorbers. There is a distinct difference in ride quality since the installation. From the truck we notice less bucking/chucking when entering and exiting pronounced bridge decks, railroad crossings, and other uneven surfaces. We used to sort of brace for the significant jolt, but now it's kind of once and done and the impact is greatly dampened from before. Within the camper we find no open drawers in the rear kitchen and no dinette cushions on the floor upon arriving at our destination; both were common prior to the upgrade. I give this upgrade 2 thumbs up. I am confident that it will increase the longevity of the leaf springs in the long run and specifically for our trip to Alaska.

Some improvements reap more benefits than others, but any kind of shock absorbing system instead of the stock solid equalizers is a huge improvement. I was seriously thinking of the shock absorber kit, but went a different way. Anything is better than OEM.

I have a very scientific system to evaluate the effectiveness of the road master comfort ride shocks that I installed. My mother-in-law goes to the local Pork Producers trade show and collects all the promotional squishy pigs they give away (a very common giveaway).

Since the installation of the shocks, the the majority of pigs, sometimes all of them, remain in position after a trip. Before the shock installation, they would all be on the floor.

Conclusion: A huge difference in ride quality for our squishy friends.

Haha! That's a great scientific test. Cute too.
