Door Side Slide Outlet on 303RLS

    Janice,

My outlet plug on the slide below the table and chairs is inop. I've put a tester to it and there is no juice coming in. Can you provide me with a schematic of the wiring or at least let me know which plug is "upline" from the outlet. I know this dead outlet is the terminating plug which means there is a disconnect at the next available plug in the string. All other outlets work. Thanks.

    Brent

On Edit: This is a potential fire hazard that needs fixing immediately.

    Hi Brent (@Brent M),

Check the routing of the power cord under the slide room. You can trace it from where it goes through the floor, then through the flex guard strap, and then into the underbelly to a molex connector. The line may be pinched or disconnected. Your RV should be brought to your dealer for inspection and repair if you are unable to trace and resolve the issue correctly and safely.

    Best regards,
    ~ Janice

Finished troubleshooting and fixing the outlet issue. Wanted to let everyone know for reference sake. I followed the flexible cable until it tied to the molex connector joining flex/Romex in the belly. Note, the connector is right there where it enters the belly cover. Only had to remove 2 screws. Wires hot and connector had no issues. Followed the flex to the outside slide wall where it entered a 3/4" hole in the coated USB floor. Wasn't pleased to learn that OSB is used in the flooring, but what can you do. After having a moment *^*&%*&^$, because I figured GD had "locked" the wire into the wall and made it unrecoverable/unfixable without severe pain, I decided to remove the outward poking box under the table hoping I could fish the Romex to another molex connector through it. There HAD to be another molex connector because the outlet had Romex. I had looked at it before and couldn't imagine it, but it was worth another look before taking to the dealer for slide wall dis-assembly. While I was laying on the floor (or is it lying on the floor) dripping with sweat because the electricity was off, I happened to look right and saw a protrusion behind the theater seating. Aha! GD had the foresight to bring the slide molex connector into the RV in case the connector needed servicing. Removed cover, inspected the connector, found where it wasn't properly affixed, and made the correction. Plug works.

Just wanted to say that I am not a fan of these press in connectors or outlets used in the RV. They don't seem to be substantial enough.

    Janice,

I swear every time I read your posts, I hear Siri (Apple Phone) 'cause the text reads so calculated. So, I adopted Siri to your replies. Every time. Can you hear it now? Read above again, but in Siri-voice or........Janisiri.
