New Batteries charged up are settling on 14.0 V is that too high?

My 2017 Reflection 26-RL has been sitting since returning home from Arizona, plugged in to shore power.

I was inside getting something out of the bathroom, and I heard a sound like something was running-turned out to be the converter fan. I got into the pass- through area where it lives, and it kept running for some time. I felt it and it was not hot. I engaged the battery disconnect and it stopped.

My neighbor tested the batteries and said they were shot-about right for 5 years I guess.
I replaced them with 2 Interstate Deep-cycle 27M-EFB batts. The reading at the Lippert leveler panel has settled at 14.0V.

Could that be too high for these batteries? My neighbor thinks it may be.

I called Interstate and they said 14.0 is ok...?

I'm hoping to hear from WFCO Monday regarding ruling out a malfunction in the converter.

I've engaged the battery cutoff in case the batteries could be harmed.

Any thoughts? Should I do anything in the meantime?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Your converter is a 3 stage

    Bulk charge is 14.4v
Then steps down to absorption mode at 13.6v
Then settles down to float mode at 13.2v

Monitor it for a few hours. It should go to 13.6. Mine usually stays at 13.6 unless everything is turned off

Edit: an EFB battery has better charge tolerance according to this web site. https://www.rotronicsbms.com/advice/...oded-batteries

And the batteries themselves will not settle down until being off of charge, with no load, for about 24 hrs. For a truly accurate test, disconnect them completely, then take a reading the next day....
