    Solar Wiring Behind Pocket Door?

I'm thinking to bring my solar wiring down behind or at the back of the pocket door for the bathroom. Has anyone tried this?

A little more information might get you more responses such as a picture or two and/or a floorplan diagram showing where you're thinking of going. I must admit I'm intrigued by the idea, keep us up to date as you progress.

Well, it's a Reflection 337. The Reflection bathrooms have pocket doors. It just seems like a better place to bring wires through than the wall behind the toilet, where you risk drilling the racetrack AC duct.

My other alternative is the corner behind the toilet (by the door) and just hide the 4 number 8 wires with crown molding, and snake them through the open floor vent behind the toilet.

As for a floorplan, the current version looks the same as 2018: https://www.granddesignrv.com/showro...orplans/337rls

Yeah, we have a Reflection also. In theory your idea sounds good. Did your coach come with any solar prep? Ours did but the cables used won't support much in the way of a solar setup.

Thanks for getting back to me. The 2018 model didn't come with any real solar prep, except for a specialty plug under the front. Anyway I ended up pulling the wall behind the toilet off because I saw posts where others had done that for the Reflection 5ers. It was a pain in the butt. At least that part is done.

I'm glad I did that by the way. There was a lot of wiring back there and a few exposed screws. It gave me the opportunity to tape the screws over to protect the wires.
