Auto switching on refrigerator.
Always have an issue with the refrigerator switching from AC to propane. It usually takes many attempts even if the propane was used the day before our trip. I don't understand why the propane is not constantly available at the refrigerator without having to fire up the stovetop to 'prime" the line. Is there a solution as I have to clear off the stovetop in order to turn on the burners?

Auto switching on refrigerator.
Are you saying it won’t lite at all unless you “prime” it with the stovetop?
With the fridge in the slide it is quite possible the line is getting pinched perhaps??Last edited by NB Canada; 09-01-2022 at 04:14 AM.

Does it run on propane with the slide retracted?
It should light up immediately. Agree it could be a pinched line.2021 Reflection 312 BHTS, Silverado 2500 Duramax

Yes, this.
Or your burner may need cleaning under the boiler. Soot will build at the burn point. Fairly easy cleaning on my Dometic. Pull a wind and safety deflector with couple sheet metal screws. Then a can of air to blow debris away and a soft toothbrush to gently scrub the burn exhaust port on the propane tube.
Good luck.Randy and Kris

If running a burner on the cooktop for a bit gets the fridge going each time, it sounds like you might have a slow/small leak in the regulator or line somewhere that bleeds the line between uses. Using a leak detector everywhere and checking all connections - starting with the connection(s) to the LP tanks - would be a good place to start.

Ours is also often slow to switch. We have found that turning the fridge off, waiting 10 seconds, then back on and setting it to Gas will often work.

Wonder if using a manometer at the end of the propane line at the fridge would tell you anything? That way at least you would know if you are getting the correct pressure, which would tell you if it's the fridge or the gas line. Manometers for low pressure are pretty cheap and useful.
Since it can be remedied by running propane to the stove, I'm also betting on a slow leak.2020 Reflection 273MK
