Lug nut replacement for 2021 28BH

    Hello,

I am planning on replacing my lug nuts on my 2021 28BH as several of the caps already feel loose. The lug nuts are 1/2x20 thread with 1.38 inch length per GD website. My local auto parts store has Dorman lug nuts part number #611-153 which appear to be the same dimensions. When looking at them in comparison the Dorman lugs have a shorter inside threading and a longer taper at the end. Anybody ever use these lugs as replacements on their Reflection?

The taper/conical end has to be identical, close enough isn't good enough. That conical shape locates and locks the tires in place. Not only do you need length and thread pitch, you need the conical dimensions too.

The wheels should be a 60 degree conical seat if they are factory Lionshead. If depth is too shallow, not the right lugnut. Don't buy Dorman. Get a set of McGard if shopping locally. A really decent buy can be found on Amazon from DPA Accessories for chromed steel. When I upgraded to disc brakes, I went with the heavier setup with 9/16"-18 and bought the DPAs (stainless steel a no-no against aluminum) and I'm very pleased with them and no rust 2.5 years later and lots of wet towing!
