    Need help with Ariston Dryer.

Back on 12/24/2017 I had my first thermostat go out on the dryer. Since then I bet we have replaced 5 or 6 thermostats, about 9 to 12 months apart.

So now I'm thinking about just replacing the dryer. If you do a search function on the Ariston dryer lots of posts ask for help with insulation but I'm the only one that seems to be having any issues (or writing about it).

So is anyone else having issues with their dryer????????

Thanks for any insight y'all may provide.

On edit: I redid the search and 2 other people had issues on the same thread. One was a thermostat like mine and the other had electrical supply issues. Not many issues for the number of dryers installed.

Hi Red! Having to replace the same part over and over , maybe it's time to give in and replace it. How old is the dryer?

I'm saying this not knowing the dryer or the schematic for it. More than likely that thermostat is a thermister. Open one of the failed ones up to see the size and value they used. You could then get several from an electronics supply to have on hand. On the other hand seeing the frequency of failure I'd be looking at broken wires, poor junctions or improper terminations. Those thermisters though cheap are pretty reliable. Take one you removed and check it with a meter to see if reads resistance or is open.

They read open. I'll post a photo of the bad part.

9 1/2 years. The problem with replacing it is you have to go through Camping World. Arrrrgh.
