Norcold double door fridge not getting cold enough

Hey folks the big Norcold double door fridge on our 2018 ST-310 not getting cold enough. What are some tips I can do to improve the cooling? The freezer will freeze ice but it takes a long time. I first noticed this in the 100 degree temps we were having every day. I've got the temp setting at 9.

    TIA

Lots and lots and lots of discussion here on the forums. Search (upper right of every page) for "Norcold 2118".

PS These are generally called "four door refrigerators". Two refrigerator and two freeze doors.

First thing I would try is swapping out the thermistor inside on the cooling fins, fairly cheap and may solve the problem.

What is the actual inside temps in the freezer and refer?

Put a thermometer into a cup of water and get an actual "food temp" reading.

Also check the fans on the back of the refrigerator. Take off the vents and see if both are working. We actually had one self destruct and fall off. The refrigerator wasn’t cooling well because one fan couldn’t exhaust the heat well enough. We had to have the cooling unit replaced and two days before our first trip both fans quit working. I can’t get in for repairs until November. I positioned a household fan at the bottom (vent off) and blow air up behind the refrigerator. I don’t like having to monkey with it, but it works great.

Thanks for the info. I didn't check the temps last time out but it wasn't very cold; the milk spoiled. I fired it back up this morning and will check the temps tomorrow with a cup of water as suggested. I'll also do a search as suggested and and read related threads.

Checking the vents as suggested is a good idea too.

    Thanks, Ron

Huntr, Per your method, I'm getting 38 degrees in the fridge and 8 in the freezer. Verified both with my new Accu Rite remote unit and my instant read meat thermometer. They're both within 1 degree.

For about $14 I agree, might just swap it for the heck of it.

Wow! This morning the fridge was down to 30 and the water in the cup was frozen. I've got a new thermistor coming today so I'll see what that does.
