My guess is that you are manually extending the front jacks too far with the pin adjustment. When we had a Reflection with electric jacks , I dropped the inner legs 5-6 holes , then disconnected. If the auto level can’t drop the front enough to be lower than the rear , funky things happen.

The manual says 6 holes max.

I dropped them 4" to 5" from the ground which is what the manual said to do. So you are saying only drop them 5 or 6 holes?

I have uploaded a profile picture and signature. Doesn't look like it's showing.

Your signature is showing now. An image in your signature requires a paid subscription: My Settings -> My Account -> Paid Subscriptions (well worth the nominal cost in my opinion).

That is correct. Now , there is always a possibility of error if the site is unusually out of level , in which case you have to coax it. But , typically , when you auto level , the first thing the system does is drop the front to below the rear height. It will then raise the front higher than the rear and do it’s thing. If you start with the front not having enough downward travel , it just doesn’t work right. At least this has been my experience with Lippert AL systems , electric and hydraulic.

Howdy. A. On our Solitude I always have to start the leveling system with the front end substantially lower than the rear or the front will drop to the ground as soon as the auto-level button is pressed. If the unit is on a slope so that I cannot get the front lower than the rear, then I have to level manually because the auto-level won't work. That is the quirk about the leveling system on our Solitude.

    B. There was no need to panic about the wheel coming off the ground. Although the owners manual and may other people will tell you not to raise the wheels off the ground, it won't hurt anything. Our 2016 Solitude has spent two winters with the wheels off the ground as well as the two weeks it took me to install hydraulic disk brakes because my boss wouldn't let me stay home to finish the job all at one time...

Pull hitch handle to open hitch, and drive out. Then I hit "auto level". It will raise or lower the front until it reaches what it determines to be level enough to start with. Some times it's just an inch or two up or down, sometimes it's quite a bit more. Once the auto level has reached that, it lowers the rear jacks. Once they are on the ground, fine adjustments are made until the auto level is satisfied things are level.

One question. Have you calibrated what "level" is on your auto level? That's important. Look in the manual to see how to do it, but basically, you manually level the rig (using a level) then you push the correct button(s) on the auto level panel X number of times to tell the computer what level is.

On those occasions that the auto level causes the wheels to come off the ground, we raise up that side of the rig and slide leveling boards underneath the wheels (only raise it up enough to slip them under), then lower it back down using the "manually level" option.
Ditto for me. I lower the pinned front jacks to approx. 6" from the ground and then follow the same process as above. One small difference is I level the trailer left to right (with planks if required) before I unhitch.
Have only had to recalibrate once in 5 years and that was when I interrupted an autolevel in progress.

I have a 303 . The sales rep told me to burn or toss my wood leveling planks as the self leveling system took care of all that. 1st night out, we arrived at a uneven free parking lot at a casino. I pushed auto level and it went immediately out of sync, with error message. I found out real quickly that auto level only works if you FIRST level the trailer as best or close as possible before pushing the auto level button. Yes, you really need to use a level and check everything. Set wood blocks ad necessary to attempt as level a set up as possible before pushing your auto level button to finish the job. Its a nice system when you get used to it. I have had most issues with the back being to high to self level. Out of stroke will be the error message. Usually the back dosent have enough extension to self level. If that happens, manually lift the rear Jack's. Then put some 2x4 or whatever looks right to compensate for a shorter rear jack extension. Then hit auto level again. You should get a successful leveling then. Get it as close as possible, then hit auto level. That's the only way it works properly.
