Montana Hybrid - RV Mattress

Any thoughts or reviews on a new mattress? We are thinking of getting a replacement for our queen sized in our 2600RB which we have added a topper. The base mattress is just horrible so not much help using the topper. We are looking at the Montana Hybrid at https://wildernessrvmattress.com/collections/mattresses.

Please comment on other upgrade mattresses you have found worth the expense.

Many old/full-timers will tell you that, if you have a mattress in the house you like, get another one for the RV. We're partial to Tuft & Needle mattresses. We've slept on one in both RVs for six years and bought one for the bed we use at the kids' house when we stay there. I can't tell you anything about Montana Hybrid mattresses.

So I measured the one in our 2600RB. 60x78 w/radius corners - not a standard dimension. We have room for the regular queen 60x80 and $75 less than the RV queen. I find 74", 75" and 80" but not 78". Strange.

We've been sleeping on a Select Comfort Sleep Number mattress for 4 years and couldn't be happier with it. To Second Chance's point, we slept on a king size version of that at our house.

There are so many variations in mattress sizes in the RV world...

If you can fit a standard residential size without interfering with slideouts, doors, access, go for it. In our Solitude, my wife and I have a Purple Hyrid 3 in California King. Fits perfectly, and like others have said, important to sleep like home.

Changing the mattress was the first thing we changed in ours after the first weekend.
We just went with a Zinus memory foam off of Amazon. On of those that come in a box. It's one of the lightest in that category that I could find at that time. We are happy with it.

If is a hybrid you're after and don't have to get an RV short shop around.
We bought a Dreamcloud hybrid (queen) a little while back and love it. I would rather sleep in the RV than the house mattress. They did offer a military discount when we bought ours which saved us another $180.. did not see it now ,but ask if it's still offered. The weight is around 85lbs. Hybrids are not light weight! But my back loves it!!

I just checked with wildernessrvmattress and was told the queen 60x80 weighed ~100# shipping. Might need a strut change but will certainly wait. I'll possibly reset the mounting points as an experiment first. I was also told that they have never had any issues or complaints of mold under their mattresses. Since it is not a full foam, condensation may not become an issue but I will pay attention and order what Rob suggested if any is noticed. Good thing I ordered last night as the pricing seems to change hourly what with discounts, etc. Saved big$$.

We got a Dynasty mattress from Amazon. They have regular sizes as well as RV sizes. We got the rv king and are very happy with it.
