A shower miser recycles the hot water feed running to the shower until it actually gets hot. This saves fresh water when boondocking and doesn't fill up your grey tank as quickly. The Nautilus system is the center of H2O operations for the coach.

    Rob,

As I am not fully schooled on functionality of the water pump, Is that something that would possibly not show itself with my test #8 listed above? if so, is there a way to test that?

A theory. When you isolated the pump it did not cycle. When the pump is connected to the plumbing system, the pressure at the pump outlet is a little bit higher than when it’s isolated due to the “head” of water in all the pipes above the pump level. This slight extra pressure may be causing the check valve to let water flow back into the fresh tank. I would replace the check valve and maybe the pump too as long as I was in there.

    Armchair speculation for sure.

I had the same problem and it was an early indicator that one of my Nautilis valves was failing. It eventually failed, I ripped out the entire system, and replaced with real valves, the water pump cycling stopped. With yours being a 2015, I think you have Kantleak, but same idea.

You could be right. Water is not very compressible and having extra lines with water in them would probably not cause the pump to cycle unless there is a leak. Back to the leak theory... but where?

Did you pull the fresh water tank valve and see if anything comes out?

I had the same problem awhile back and it turned out to be the check valve in the pump. If you get your model # off your pump you can go on to Sure Flows web site and order the repair kit. The kit is about $15.00 and takes just a few minutes to install. Mine would cycle about every couple of minutes.

Similar problem in our 3100RD. Found it was air trapped in the line to the rear spray port. Also check water heater for air by opening emergency relief valve.

My trailer was doing the same. I found if I had the switch valve on city water the pump would cycle. Moving the valve to fill stopped the cycling

I changed my pump a year or two ago & had a problem with it cycling. Took a screwdriver to it & tightened all screws. All were not that tight. The three screws at the front were just snug-I believe for the pressure switch. It has worked fine since.
