    Shame on these "fellow" campers!

First time this has ever happened to me ... we drove out to enjoy one of the local trails. While we were gone the folks from the site next to us came over and helped themselves to our woodpile!

What makes this particularly disappointing is that we always carry a couple of those light-up football toys and had given their kids one to play with the night before. Nothing but sad!

That is disappointing. It does seem like some folks don't get the "etiquette" of camping. Not sure where the standards have gone.

Are you sure of the identity of the individual/s who took your firewood? All firewood does kind of looks alike.

Not much surprises me anymore, it irks me when people cut through the campsite which seems to happen more often these days. Once we were sitting at the table and a whole family of strangers passed between us and our front door. I mentioned that it would only take a few extra steps to go around and the kids just laughed. Parents just looked the other way. It's a different atmosphere in Texas State Parks these days.

They were "ratted out" by the people across the way who watched them able over and help themselves. They reported that they "glared accusingly" at them but (wisely) didn't try to get all up into their faces.

Depending on how long I'd be staying at said campground, and whether I was around when "they" were gone, I think some of "their" wood might go missing one day/night.

I would also be reporting the situation to the campground host/owner. They might want to be aware that such activities are going on.

In think maybe a conversation with them.

It is very disappointing, but we live in a crazy world where anything is possible, good and bad.

Perhaps offer them some more firewood.
