Gap between shower wall and shower pan
It looks like water will get behind the shower wall where the shower wall meets the pan. If I push on the shower wall a gap is exposed between the wall and pan. Another post stated that this shouldn’t be sealed. Won’t water get behind it and cause damage? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. If you are talking about the gap at the bottom, it is intentional. There is a lip on the bottom pan that extends up approximately 3 - 4", so there is good overlap between the pan extension and the wall. It is designed to be a vent for the backside of the shower walls. Sealing this gap will allow mold to grow behind the shower.

Yup. Most stick built shower install kits have the same setup when pan and walls are seperate. If the pan base is level and the walls installed corectly, should never be a problem with water (intrusion) from shower head when using due to the lip mentioned behind the bottom portion of the wall.
Most leaks with these types of showers come from poor silicone sealant placement around the doors and track near the openings, or, cracked pans and/or faulty drain seals.
BTW, the shower walls (and also the base) in our trailer are very flimsy, probably due to weight reduction and build cost. Pretty much looks like a piece of vinyl wrapped over the shower support wall and then pinned to the base on the bottoms. Some have added more support to the pan base for firmness via the basement access for those with 5th wheels.Jim and Annette

Thank you for the feedback! It turns out that the gap I saw was caused by the lighting. Indeed, the wall covers over the lip of the pan.
