    Decal Scratch Removal?

    Good morning folks,

On our way home from our last trip on a small two lane country road, I swiped a low hanging tree branch and put several scratches in the decal just before the awning, see photo. Can they be removed and if so any ideas how?

If they are decals (rather than paint), they are a vinyl applique with an adhesive backing. As such, scratches cannot be "removed" like they can with paint. You can order a new decal through Grand Design parts, though.

We had the same experience in TN in a narrow road to a CG. Luckily, it didnt do as much damage as your pictures depict. Ours scratches were mainly on the gel coat which I polished out by hand.

Now, we review the potential CGs using google maps and satelite views to determine obstacles like narrow roads before staying at a particular CG. Theres always another CG down the road that wont cause me to squeeze into their park.
