    Victron/Honda 2000 problems

I’m in the process of installing a victron system in my Solitude..
I’m using my Honda 2000 for “Power Assist” on the days I don’t have decent sun and or my batteries are not keeping up running the AC….
The problem I’m running into is the Honda is putting out 127.3v + ( peaked at 129v) and is sending the Victron into high voltage alert..
Has anyone had success or problems with this setup?
I’ve checked other small gens and this high voltage output seems to be a Honda thing..

Wandering if I’m alone in this…
Was hoping there was a way to lower voltage output on the Honda’s before I buy a new generator…

    Thanks
    Jason

Are you relying on the Victron for those numbers, or have you measured the generator output with a meter?

    I checked the Honda with a meter…
And just to be sure it wasn’t something wrong with my unit, my friend has the exact same Honda and it was reading 127.1v with no load on eco or high rpm….

Here is a thread that offers a few options to lower the voltage on a eu2000i generator but 127.3 VAC on a unloaded genny is probably normal so the issue might be more the Victron being too sensitive.

Yes, I read that thread ad tried…
I’ve been playing with it all day and we’ve come too the conclusion that the smaller 2000 generators (I also tried a Champion 2500 122v) load up too much when the ac turn on and the Victron doesn’t like it and kicks them off instantly…
We ran a 4500 gen and it ran perfect and went into power share drawing 1500 watts from the gen and letting the batteries supply the rest…
We set input load from shore @ 15 amps…..
for some reason Victron won’t let me go any lower then that…
Maybe I’m asking too much, but I could swore I’ve seen this set up work with the Honda 2000 on power share…

Researching this on the ole web…I came across a setting deep within Victron…
    “Dynamic Current Limiter”……

    (default =disabled)

    Anyone have experience with this?
