Yep, and 500hp out of a small block V8 happens in stock applications. Insert Tim Allen grunt here...

Does anybody here actually think they are applying 1000ftlbs of torque to the ground? Maybe borrowed John Forces rear tires? lol
Not necessarily true. there is a You Tube video of a couple of guys racing Ford, Ram and Chevy identically optioned HD pickup trucks. The Ford left the other two in the dust.

    I have a 99 F-250, with a "decidedly not stock" 7.3/6speed manual/3.73 . It's conservatively running 350hp and 800 ft-lb

    It weighs 2500 less than mu 22 F-450 with a stock 6.7/10 speed/4.30

The 450 outpulls it. The 250 is "Faster" with just a load in the bed, say 2000 pounds or so.

The stock 6.7 in the current tune is pretty decent. I can only imagine it's potential with SCR/DPF gone like the 7.3 never had.

Has anyone got a dealer to commit to X plan pricing? I have talked to three local dealers and no one will do X plan. One of them wants $3K over MSRP to order!

Cavalier Ford in Norfolk, VA ordered my wife an Expedition Max under Xplan last month. Got the build date and VIN today.

I had a problem getting X plan pricing on a 450, but I ordered a 450 XLT last year for MSRP but the dealer threw in a couple hundred dollars worth of Ford Points.

If you're so inclined, I'd let Ford know that one. Pretty sure they're not supposed to be marking up special orders.

Not so much that, but if you have a signed Purchase / Sales Agreement, they are supposed to HONOR it. There is a carveout for if an ordered option increases by X dollars, so can the price, but no "market adjustment" or such.

Xplan is they can take it or not take it. Dealers option, but the reason I switched dealers between the 450 and Expedition was the dealer I got the 450 wouldn't do xplan on a second vehicle in so many months (they didn't do X on the 450, but no convincing them of that)

Granger Ford in Iowa has been doing 2% under invoice on ordered '22s. I belive they plan to offer the same deal on '23s. Probably worth the one way flight and drive back home.

I just read that '23 orders will be $1500 over invoice.

    I have 2 confirmed F450s on order.

1- Platinum from Chapman of Horsham PA at 4% under final invoice. Ordered in January 2022 and still no build date
2- King Ranch ordered via X-Plan locally in Venice FL in March 2022. Build date is 10/31

I’m going to check with Venice dealer later this week when I stop in for warranty repair appt on my 2020 F350 to see if they will process an order for a 2023 via X-Plan once order banks open up.
