Electric Issue in Momentum
We have a 399TH we recently purchased from a private party. Had dealer go through it and do what they recommended prior to purchasing. We had used it a couple times without any issues. The last time we were taking it out we made the stupid rookie mistake that resulted in the fifth wheel dropping onto the bed of our F450. All seemed fine with the trailer and the pickup is pending body work for the damage done.
We went to an electric site this weekend and none of the outlets nor the refrigerator worked on the 50 Amp service plugged in, but did work while running the generator. Wondering if this points to something that can be an easy fix. A transfer switch or connector that could have been jarred loose by the impact. The fact that all works with the generator but not on plug in seems that it should be an issue in a very small section to identify.
Any help is appreciated!

This is electrician stuff and if your not comfortable with working around electricity, best left to a mobile tech. Having said that, if you are comfortable with electrical work and have a volt meter, it’s a fairly straight forward troubleshooting job to find where there is power and where there is not power. Connect up shore power. See if there is voltage at the main breaker. If not, track back to transfer switch, etc etc. it is likely something simple but at the same time it’s electric power that can be dangerous.

The normal setup for transfer switches is this.....Generator priority, shore power secondary. What that means is that the transfer switch contacts are closed and ready for generator power. If you switch to shore power, the contactors for shore power will close after a delay of some amount of time. So yes, the likely source of your issue is the transfer switch.
Before working on it, unplug from shore power, make sure that the generator CANNOT start, and if you have an inverter for the trailer, make sure it's not on. Then remove the cover from the transfer switch and look it over very cafefully.....especially the small wires that go to the contactor operating coil. It might be as simple as one of them have come loose from the connection point on the operating coil.2016 F350 CrewCab Dually

Definitely agree with what @xrated said. Sometimes the contacts get stuck as well, they are spring loaded, and the impact could have made it stick. To beat the dead horse, ensure ALL power is turned off!

Did you ever verify that the pedestal was supplying power? If not, try hooking up an extension cord via an adapter to see if there really is a problem with the trailer.
