Anyone been on US 209 (Delaware Water Gap in PA) recently?
My 'short cut' to/from Port Jervis to 81 in Virginia. RVTripwizard is trying to route me around a 5 mile area of US 209 onto roads that I'm not sure about. We took 209 north back in June and there was construction with a one-lane traffic light section but we had no height or weight issues. Saves a lot of miles going that route and a bit more scenic. Just wondering if anyone has transited recently as I forced the Garmin to route me that way as well.

Not sure what's going on with construction, but why not just go over to rt402 and come down to rt209 at Marshalls Creek

There's a 7-mile stretch of repairs/reconstruction on US 209 in the Delaware Water Gap. It's projected to be completed by the end of the year.

That's the area where it is single lane with traffic lights on both ends, i.e. the road isn't completely shut? If it's still traffic light and not closed, I'm good with that - nice ride. Garmin routed us that way coming back from NC in June and I was curious why Garmin is now routing us all the way out to Scranton to 380 south.
@315RLTSinPA I've never gone down Rt 402. I don't see any height/weight restrictions pop up. Nice route? Noticed some low branches on the hill side of Rt 209 and I'm just under 13'6". I usually opt for Rt 209 because I top off at the Pilot in Montague and get off next exit in Milford - just habit I guess - part of my stay away from NYC and 95 at all costs plan.Robin & John

Just a quick update for those interested.
We took 402 southbound due to Milford exit ramp closed for re-paving. I've never seen so many BIG trees leaning on overhead wires (western side of 402). Must have been quite a wind but very surprised that no cleanup seems to have occurred and looks like they have been there for awhile.
209 northbound was fine - 2 small stretches with single lane and light controlled but a nice ride.
