Replacing Awning end cap after every trip

We have had to replace our awning end cap cover after every trip. We have not gone through any tree areas or anything else. Just had it replaced at the dealer, drove 2.5 hours to our destination and it is missing. Getting expensive.

Lost one in the first few months 5 years ago. When I got the replacement, I wrapped both end caps with electrical tape. Can’t really even see it unless you know it is there. Never lost another one. Haven’t even changed the tape!

Welcome to the forum. I would look and see if you could install some type of set screw or industrial velcro if there is no obvious sign why it keeps falling off.

If you have the same brand as my 351m, the design lends to easily getting knocked off. Based on experience with ordering the wrong parts online, I had to call and explain my situation and they told me the site is not correct. They also informed me that customers said they "glue" them together by using a small bead of silicone around the seam. If your unit has a Carefree brand, call them; carefreeofcolorado.com.

I will be trying Old Dawg's idea of black electrical tape and see if they last longer.

Yeah, I thought I had mine secure, but noticed the other day I've lost one...again. I'm going with black Gorilla tape this time.

I found several places that sold them but at the time, this was the only one I could fine that had them in stock and didn't try to beat you to death on the price.

They sure aren't built to last. I use tape and/or plastic ties to hold mine on. It's kind of funny, when you try to take one off that's not broken or anything. You can't hardly get them off!
Then the darn things fall off
