    337 Rear Stabilizer Fuse Location.

Rear stabilizers won't extend. I do hear a ratchet sound when I retract all the way. I want to check the fuse but I have no idea where it is located?
I am not sure it is the fuse because it tries to ratchet in the full up position but they will not extend at all? None the less I need to know where the fuse is located. Any help would be appreciated.

I know where the fuse for the front landing gear is in the forward storage bay. It is a 30 amp blade fuse. Where is the fuse for the rear stabilizers? Are the front jacks and rear stabilizers on the same fuse?

    Hey Steve,

This sounds more like a problem with the switch than a blown fuse. (There is some history with switch failures).
If the motor/clutch will click in the up direction, power is coming through the fuse. The switch reverses the positive and negative to change the motor direction. There are a number of ways to trouble shoot this by removing the switch. Do you need/want help with doing this yourself ?

Hey Steve...on ours it's right beside the one for the front jacks though wired after the battery disconnect.

It's sounding like an issue with the gearbox. Have you tried to lower/raise manually with the handle...access point is on the door side.

I had a switch go bad and it would only travel one direction. I reversed two wires from motor where they connected to switch and it travelled opposite direction. Not sure if switch is your problem but worth a try.

Thanks for the quick replys. I agree it is likely not the fuse since I can get it to ratchet up in the retract mode. I think it is the switch. I will trouble shoot tomorrow but at least I know both fuses are in the front storage bay. Thanks to all for the help. Love this forum!

Had the opportunity to do some trouble shooting. Fuse was good. Swaped the front landing gear switch that I knew was good and tried it on the rear stabizers, it worked. Bad rear stabilizer switch!

I had GD send me 2 new switches because I noticed a black o-ring seal just hanging behind the lever on both switches. Still works but not sure for how long. Looks very easy to change.
