Furrion convection microwave - removing filter(s)

I am still trying to figure out how to squeeze the cover down enough to get if off so I can change the charcoal filter.

There are no charcoal filters that I know of in the Furrion convection microwave. There a aluminum screens on the underside that slide out and the convection ovens are vented to the outside.

If you have a paid membership, you can create a signature block with your RV and tow vehicle information (see mine below). That way you won't have to repeat that information whenever you post or ask a question - and others won't have to ask. You can create a signature by going to:

Forum Actions (on menu bar) -> Edit Profile -> Edit Signature (under My Settings on the left)

Our Furrion microwave/convection has a charcoal filter, but we've been unable to find any place to buy a replacement one. And, There's no vent to the outside on it.

Our 2018 303 RLS has no vent to the outside and two aluminum screens that vent inside.

The information with the microwave that came with the trailer shows a charcoal filter behind the black vent above the door. We have a dark spot on top of the slide roof. There was a recall from Grand Design for installation of a heat shield material they were installing above the microwave to prevent heat damage to the cabinet and material (slide body). We have a black spot on the slide roof, just trying to make sure there is no issues with the microwave.
