New Truck Too Tall to Tow

Just got back from picking up the new F350 4x4 and bad news is that it is 2.5" taller in the bed above the axle and 4" taller at the rail above the axle, than my old F250.
With my old truck, the 5th wheel already tows a bit nose high, so it looks like mods will have to be done before towing with the new truck.

The new truck has 2" blocks under the leaf springs so what are my options to lower the suspension a bit?

Also, I may need to raise the 5th wheel a bit since the hitch itself is already in the lowest position. I was thinking taller tires before raising the suspension on the trailer.

Thoughts?

Has anybody here raised their 150 Series 5th wheel a good 3"?

Were the blocks on the TV dealer added? There's a ford dealer in Ottawa that modifies they're truck as soon as they roll in and then forces the customers to pay for it or walk.

Pretty common issue with trucks and fifths. In my case, when picking up my old fifth, the dealer installed a "lift kit" on the fifth to get it up to the proper height. Most good trailer shops should be able to do the same, easily. No need to modify your truck.

Depends on what trailer you have and how tall it already is. Many of these trailers are already pushing 13 and a half feet.

The OP has a 150 Series 260RD. GD specs show a height of 12' (I don't know if there's an option for a second AC up front). Sounds like there's room to grow.

There is an option for a 2nd AC, which we didn't want, to keep the height down. I may have to lift the 260RD or drop the F350, or a little of both.

Had some of the same issues, traded in a RAM 3500 and purchased a 2022 F 350 Super Duty DRW, had approximately 3" of clearance between bed rail and nose of Solitude 2019 372WBR, after much research came up with the same response you found, bed was taller than previous models, solution for me was to change Pin Box 5th Wheel Hitch. How high are the bed rails ?
