Anderson Aluminum Ultimate 5th Hitch on Dodge 3500??

I have a single rear wheel 2014 Dodge 3500 and a Momentum 350M, really curious if anyone with a similar combination is using the Anderson hitch. I currently have a B&W slider, at the top of the adjustment it just barely works for clearance given that the truck rides so high in the rear (using airbags too). My concern is that I will have enough clearance given that the hitch is not adjustable.

Anyone have any experience with that hitch or combo?

We just had the Andersen Ultimate installed in our truck... the height of the ball is adjustable (3 settings). You can also move the pin box on the trailer up and down (different bolt holes).

According to the Anderson web site, the gooseneck mount version has 3 setting for the ball, 163/8, 17 7/16, 18 5/8. Check the max height of your current hitch and see which one is best for your situation. I would think the rail mounted version ad the Andersen hitch would have the same height adj, but a quick call to them would let you know for sure.

I neglected to say that our hitch is the rail-mount and has three height settings.

I don't have the hitch you refer to but I am pulling a 350M with a 2015 3500. I have a Pullrite Superglide hitch mounted on the Pullrite rail kit to fit into the factory hitch pucks. I have good bed rail clearance but have the trailer nose up a few inches. The dealer had to drop the pin as far as it would go.

My problem was the rail kit that fits into the pucks. This adds 3 to 4 inches in height to an already tall truck. I don't know about your hitch and am not clear if you will be mounting it to the bed or using an adapter to the pucks. Any kit that works with the factory pucks will make the hitch higher.

    Hope this helps some.

I should have been clearer, it would be the goose neck version.

Both versions have the same vertical adjustment capabilities.

Bcbaric, have had both the ultimate and the rancher. Both were the offset version for pulling with a short box pickup, both had adequate clearance, in off road situations. Like the ultimate better!!

Am curious, I pull a 350M with a SRW2500. Are y'all with SRW worried enough to consider putting DRW on your axles?
