How to remove theater seats to replace pull cord 311BHS

Hi, I know this has been discussed but I can not find out how to do it. 2017 311BHS. It seems that I will have to take them out to do it. I can not get the back off. Sorry to repeat this but jeez!

I don't know what a pull cord is, but I just had my Thomas Payne love seat removed and when the guys who removed it took it out they played the chair backside up, raised a flap that was Velcro'd on and flipped some levers on both sides.

    Hope this is some help.

Something else you look at, is a PITA, but they are most likely screwed to the floor, under the theater seating. When my pull cord came off, I had to access under then from behind, locate the screws and the bracket that held the seats down and unscrew them. Then, I could roll the seats forward and more easily remove the backs and the center piece.

This is what I thought. They are screwed to the floor. Do you have to remove bottom of slide out to get access to the screws?

No, you have to go under the seats. Either from the front or the back.

Pull up hard on the backs once those clips are loose. Do one side at a time. It looked like the young fellow that did mine had to pull up pretty hard, but they came off.

I think you've hit on the best way to get them out; have a "young fellow" do it!

You SHOULD be able to replace the pull cord with the seat just rolled forward so it's upside down.

Granted, not your model. But both Grand Designs we have had the seats are screwed in with four screws accessible in the front under the footrest. Left side and right side of each individual seat. Tried to reattach a pull cord without removing and quickly re-thought that and just pulled the seats out haha.

    Good luck!
