    In case you haven’t seen it, probably best online example of the engine you’ll get. And that pass is no joke. I suspect you’ll hear that there’s a point where both the diesel and dually start to make sense and that most think it’s around 15k lbs, give or take a couple thousand depending on the person.

    Been there done that pass with both a F250 gas and an F250 diesel pulling 11,000 lbs. NO QUESTION that the diesel performs better and is much safer than a gas F250. The biggest difference is the safe, in control feel you have going downhill - rarely did I have to apply the pedal break when the auto downshifting and the exhaust brake do all the work. No more white knuckles! So, if you pull more than 11,000 lbs and you plan to travel over any significant terrain, get the diesel (and over 15,000 get the dually).

    I have 11,000 miles on my 7.3 F350 towing my Imagine 2790RL. Planning to upgrade to a Reflection 337RLS towing with a goose box. That's about all I would want to tow with the 7.3. It has plenty of torque but the mileage suffers pretty bad if you are having to run the revs over 2500. If I had ordered the truck I would have spec'd it with 3.31 gears, not 3.73.

    I know exactly what you mean. My fifth wheel stays in storage at a member owned campground (with 300 others) in the Blue Ridge Mountains about 1 hour outside the Atlanta suburbs.

    Since I don't tow my fifth wheel anyway, I just gave my old 2003 F250 7.3 diesel truck to my 15 year old grandson. He's the happiest guy around.

    Now if I could get my daughter's front bumper cover painted, I can return her IS250 Lexus to her. She's had my 2020 F150 2.7 Ecoboost for the last 3 months.
