    Solar for the winter

    Greetings,
As cold weather gets closer, I'm planning to pull my 12v batteries. Question is, what should be done with regards to solar panel system after the batteries are removed?
I can't seem to find a answer via Google.
    Thanks!

First, Welcome to the forum and congrats on your rig!

If you plan to remove the batteries, you could either disconnect the charge controller or if there is a switch or circuit breaker, turn it off.

Update. I just received an email from Furrion.
    Regarding the winterization process.

"Unfortunately, we don’t have a step procedure for winterization.

As it depends on the customer, most customers typically remove the batteries and then take the controller out of its cradle.

As for the panels, it’s recommended to make sure their no excessive ice or snow."

So, there ya have it. Sounds easy enough.

Thanks for the info! We pulled the batteries on Sunday and disconnected the charge controller.
