steps are delaminating

The interior steps are delaminating at the tread indentations. It appears that the lamination was not down in the tread but slightly above them and are now cracked. Has anyone fixed this in their units?

I haven't had this problem, but having a hobby in woodworking, I would probably remove the step, remove the stuff they put over the wood, sand and refinish the top and edge surfaces, then stain it and clear coat it. Longer lasting in my opinion.

Wow, what a bummer! I would have thought the steps would've been one of the last things that could actually go bad in these rolling money pits. More to possibly look forward too with ours which is also a 2019 with the same steps.
