Borrow/Rent a 5th Wheel Hitch in the Atlanta Area
A little back story:
- Ordered a Momentum 395MS-R few months ago and it's ready for pick up.
- I don't currently own a truck as I plan to move it to its destination where it will stay for about 3 years before I PCS to a new duty station.
- No desire to rush into buying a 350/450/3500 that will just sit for 3 years until I use it again.
So I am renting a F350 DRW to drive it from NW Georgia to Ft Polk, LA (I know, lucky me...).
My question is if there is anyone in the Atlanta/NW Georgia area that will let me borrow/rent a 5th wheel hitch for a ford puck system for 5 days next week?
If not, I will most likely end up purchasing a B&W Companion 25k, just not looking forward to spending $1400 on something I may only use once, if I end up buying a Ram or Chevy in the future.
Thanks!

I'm not sure how far you have to go but maybe your dealer can help you out or hook you up with someone or tow company.

On a positive note, if you purchase a companion, and dont get the same brand truck in the future, you can keep the head and only need to replace the base. Also, if you buy a hitch, and then sell it when you're done, any loss in $$ could be counted as your rental fee.

Check Facebook Market place, Craigslist and eBay for a cheap hitch. Maybe call a few dealers in the ATL area too.

We sold our old one on Facebook Marketplace, and bought our replacement, also on Marketplace. We paid less than half new price for our Dodge puck mount, and it looks brand new. Definitely worth looking into.
