    Vacuum break valve leaking

Water dripping from black tank spray bva yum break valve. It is sandwiched up between a luan panel and the shower. Any ideas on how to get it down? May just be shoved up there and when I pull the PEX it may just come down. Or is it bolted somehow. Or, could I just put the new one a few inches down where it can be seen and worked on? Thanks. 312BHTS.

In many rigs, there is a panel in the shower to get access. Look for screws.

If you have the corner shower look behind the grab bar. It's held on with 4 screws and some sealant will have to be removed. Quite a few in the past have been able to access it there.

mine just went out also. It was located behind the shower. I accessed it through the opening behind the grab bar. It was zip tied to the hot and cold water lines that go to the shower.

So glad I put one of those water alarms in that area under the shower. (Thanks to the forum for that one) I was flushing the black tank and it started blasting. Only had a few drops of water. Ordered a brass vacuum break and a check valve from the Amazon. In the mean time we are flushing the toilet with plenty of water and hoping for the best. I’m all excited to do my very first ever PEX crimp when the valves come in. Ha.

In my rig I think I have to pull the wall panel in the washer prep closet. Or cut an access hole in it. I don’t see any access panels on the shower or bathroom side. Please chime in if you have experience with this on a 312bhts.

Same with mine, long reach but got it cut. The real issue was one line was pinched between the frame and paneling. Their repair was a clear hose from the flush port directly to the tank. I put it back the way it was supposed to be, with a new back flow valve and spray head.

Replaced with new brass back flow preventer and check valve. Made my first ever PEX crimp. Used PEX to poly to connect the hoses. Just left the old plastic parts up in the wall due to difficulty in cutting the zip tie that holds them up there.
