Several years ago I bought a 7-way outlet tester. I think at the time it cost about $15. It has LEDs that show power at each pin when they should have power such as the blinkers, lights and brakes. I've used it 8-10 times mostly to help others.

I wonder if that guy got my 2018 Ram 2500. I had that exact problem. The truck was still under warranty, but the dealer couldn't fix it. It worked fine when I first got the truck, then gradually went bad. I think it was probably the computer. I traded in the Ram for a Ford.
I have one of those testers also. I think it was about $7 on Amazon.Mal & Helen
