Angry entrance door issues 2022 reflection 297rsts

Hi all, anyone having issues closing the entrance door from the inside of TT?
It is nearly impossible to close door from inside without slamming (several times) from the inside.
Also when traveling down the road, the door will open up on its own, thanks to the folding grab bar, it held door from swinging in the wind!
I know these are friction hinges, is there a way to loosen them and or replace them

Look to see if the strick plate is properly install and aligned. Some members have had to turn it. Also, when traveling, I always lock the dead bolt.

That doesn't sound right. I think the door or strike plate or both need to be adjusted. We had the same problem with the door on our 2022 378MBS and it doesn't have the friction hinges. Ours didn't open while travelling but I always use the deadbolt like @Ynot4me2. Have the dealer adjust the door so it latches properly.

I would check the strike plate first. If that is correctly installed and at the limit of it's adjustment, then try this video from Lippert:

The Lippert fix worked for us although I would say it takes a little more elbow grease that you would think from watching the video.

I think there are a couple of different problems that these doors have. For mine, it is the latch mechanism binding when I try to close it. Simple test is to hold the latch open when closing - if you can push it closed with minimal pressure and release the latch (and have it hold), try using a dry lube spray on both the latch and the strike plate. I carry a can with me at all times.

If the door takes a considerable amount of pressure to close with the latch held open, it is probably the camber or a misaligned door.

When I did the initial walkthrough on my 303RLS, I noted the door was hard to close. The tech at the dealership “made an adjustment” while fixing a few other minor things. I tested the door before pulling it off the lot. When I got it home, I noticed the door popped open (held closed by the handle) and the deadbolt wouldn’t work. Upon further inspection, I found that the tech simply turned the strike plate over. While the door closed without slamming, the plate didn’t line up properly with deadbolt. I turned the plate the proper way and gave it a good coating with dry lube. The strike plate has a tab that drops in the hole and helps to secure the door. If it is installed backwards, there is very little surface for the latch to contact.

So upon further inspection, the strike plate is not inline and is at the outward limit. i slotted the screw holes, so i could adjust further outward, still to no avail.
looking at strike plate and latch, i could see that the actual door frame (that the strike plate attaches to) was interfering with the latch.
I, with a dremel tool, shaved off some of the casing so i could move the plate further outward (as the strike plate has a lip that fits into the casing) Doing this has everything lined up and the door and deadbolt work as they should.....problem solved, no more slamming of door !!! Thanks to all that replied!
