    Savannah Georgia

    Planning a trip to Savannah GA in the spring. Any recommendations of a nice campground to use as a base to see the area

    Creekfire RV Resort is nice, off I-95 and within 10-15 miles of Savannah.

    We stayed at Red Gate Farms... highly recommend. They are on 200 acres, you need to ask for a shaded area if that's what you prefer, as most are in open sun. Its a beautiful place very close to town.

    Ditto on Creekfire RV Resort. Been there a couple of times. Heading there this weekend for a 10 day Thanksgiving stay.

    Last year we stayed at Lake Jasper RV Village. The Location provides a short drive to Savannah or Hilton Head or Beaufort, we did all 3. Roomy sites, quiet park.

    Plus 1 on Camp Lake Jasper. Going there in March again. However, under new ownership with a much larger national company. Can no longer pick your spot. But still a great place to stay. Avoid I95 and take Rt 17 to Savanah.

    Watch for gators on 17. This fellah didn't make it.
