310GK Kitchen drain to grey tank flexes

Looking for peace of mind. When the P-trap is off, the ABS line to the grey tank seems to have a lot of play or wiggle. I had assumed that it would be a very rigid line between the P-trap and the grey tank. I'm thinking maybe it is the distance from the access hole in the floor to the grey tank that is allowing the flex, or that it is the flex in the grey tank itself and the length of the pipe that is allowing the flex. Or maybe a rubber boot and clamp at the tank. At the level of the P-trap connection the pipe can wiggle left or right about two inches and up or down about one inch. Insulation at the access hole is dry. Do I have anything to be concerned about?

Curious, why did you remove the p trap ? I don't know if wiggle is normal because we never had reason to remove any of the plumbing lines. Hope someone can answer that for you.

The P-trap had slipped from the tail pipe. Apparently the compression nut wasn't tight enough and road vibration caused the separation. We noticed water running out from under the cabinet when water went down the sink. Since then, we have added a moisture sensor as additional insurance against future issues.

great idea, maybe it's all compression for. I have heard in the past of the black or gray tank vent pipes slipping in a little bit more than they should

Mine dropped off on the left side several times. I finally replaced the drop pipe from the drain with one about an inch and a half longer to cure the issue.

The drain line is seated into a rubber fitting in the gray tank, not solid.
