We have hooked up, pulled, and unhooked three times now with the new Curt Crosswing. We love it. No chunking and it feels great behind the truck. The turning radius is fine in our regular size bed truck. Our arrival at one campground was just after sunset. Our spot required backing down a road with a turn into the spot around other vehicles at other sites next too and across from us. We had a fantastic assistant from the campground and had no problems with any pinch at the cab.

The backing into and setting the pin is remarkably easy. We use a step over the back truck tire to reach into our higher bed to latch the pin and breakaway trailer cable. The setting on head is at the lowest setting.

txgals5561, how much clearance are you getting with your crosswing between the bottom of the trailer and the bed and how close are you when you turn to your bed rails?

    Thanks

We have about an 8 - 10" clearance between the bottom of the trailer and top of the side of truck bed. We had a tight spot to back into for Tybee Island campground and had it nearly at 90 degrees without any concern for hitting the back of the cab.

Our truck is a Ram 2500 with the Night Edition 4x4 which elevates the truck more than a regular 4x4. The crosswing is in the lowest setting in the bed. We thought that wouldn't work for clearance but is more than fine.

    Hope this helps.
