    HappiJac - Remove seats and lower the upper bed!

    I want to remove the seats on both sides and replace them with countertops (to use as desks).

    When we have company, I want to lower the desks close to the floor and allow the guests to use the top bunk. However, the top bunk is too high for my older friends.

    If I remove the four brass-colored stops and install them around 18 inches above the floor, would that allow the upper bed to stop there when it is in its lower position?
