Painting over interior cabinets? Anyone every done it/

Thinking about painting my cabinets to a lighter color on my 2600RB. Anyone ever done this? What prep did you have to do? What paint? I have a sprayer and have built kitchen cabinets so I am pretty handy but really didn't want to strip all of this down. I know...I'm being lazy

BTW - the cabinet finishes in your RV are not real wood. They are a plastic wrap around MDF (cabinet doors may be a real wood finish in some models).
