Well, we have 3 irons, so it just made sense to put one of them in the rig. And I have used it once or twice to press out wrinkles on a nicer blouse for going out.

We are full time travels now. It's been a little more then a year since we sold the house in Oregon. We have done 3 workamp jobs. Feb and March was Umpqua Lighthouse in Oregon, Rushmore Shadows RV Resort was in August and Sept 10 to Nov 7th was Escalante Cabins and RV Resort. We also went to MorRyde in IN for the IS and disc brakes just before the 4th of July. We spent almost all of July visiting my wife's family in MI.

We travel the highways and try to stay off the freeways. It's more relaxing and most of the time the roads are better. We try to keep the miles below 200. Sometimes we might only go a 100 miles. We stay 1 to 10 days, depending on the price of the park. If the park is $45.00; it's going to have to be pretty important to stay there. We use our membership discounts (RPI and ROD) whenever possible.

We have the Harley in the back, a Davy Crockett GMG smoker, a small compressor, tools to fix things, a large box of Christmas stuff, maybe 10 different size chairs, a popup tent for shelter over the picnic table, a printer, a satellite for Dish with the Hopper, a black lab and all his toys and food. I have 1 suit and my wife has a few fancy dresses, plus she has a LOT of shoes. We try to carry food for around 2 weeks, but might stock up if there is a store in the right place. The residential fridge does a really great job. We even kept the big kitchenaid mixer and 2 instant pots.

We are still under 18,000 lbs (capable of hauling 20K) unless we are packing a lot of water for some reason (some places don't have water). We have a small Honda 2000 for emergencies (if the solar can't keep up).

We have seen and lived so much while on our adventure. While waiting for MorRyde; we went to GD for a tour. The next day; we went to the huge RV museum in IN. On our way up into MI, we went to Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. We love visiting museums. The people working there have more great ideas to see locally.

Get out there and see it. There is SO MUCH to see in this GREAT country. KEN

Regarding clothes, if we do for 2 weeks or less, bring enough so no laundry time needed. 4 weeks, then bring enough clothes for 16 days and do laundry once. Gives a 3 day window of doing laundry on days 14-16. Works well for us.
