At 52lbs, that is a very small capacity battery. 140 minute RC.

Compare that with a 100ah Lithium (LiFePo4) battery from Amazon at $259 (several batteries are available at this price).

John, interesting point. We travel 2-3 months a year and stay at RV parks and state parks. So how much reserve do you think a non-boon docking travel trailer needs?

Reserve Capacity for the Group 27 Everest Deep Cycle marine is 109 minutes and only 2 pounds lighter than the H7.

The reserve capacity for the 27 is not 109. That is the AH rating they put on the battery. I don’t really believe it. That’s about a 160 minute
RC, 88AH battery, the identical battery to the Interstate SRM-27. Walmart’s published battery specs are worse than useless unless you see them on the battery in the store.

An AGM is generally about 10% lower capacity for the weight than a conventional flooded cell battery. 90% of 160 minutes is 144, very much in the ball park.

The 27 Everstart flooded cell is fine for your purpose. Cheap and easy to find a store for warranty.

Not much advantage to an AGM in my opinion, unless you treat them poorly. An AGM tolerates neglect better than a conventional flooded cell, but good ones are too close to the bottom of the lithium market to recommend. ETA: Should qualify that I’m referring to deep-cycle applications here.

Weight and Cost are the big factors. Your needs depends on how much boondocking you're going to do and those conditions at the time. I went with two 6v 260 amp Crown lead/acid batteries. They are heavy! The Interstate marine batteries didn't have the endurance. If it has a CCA rating, it might not be the best battery for your needs. I've installed the Renogy battery monitor so that I know exactly what my batteries are doing and how long they will last. When I'm hunting and the temps are very cold, I need battery power. I'm looking at doing some long term Utah boondocking next summer too.

I have used this battery for 3 years and have never had any problems with it. Highly recommend it. https://www.vmaxtanks.com/XTR27-110-...ery_p_175.html
