Wife and I also changed to this and have first hand experienced how eating well allows you to live and feel so much better. We lean towards carnivore/nutrient dense paleo lifestyle. High quality fats and proteins (mostly from grass fed pastured animal products), low to no carbs, absolutely no grains or any industrial seed oils. We believe this is how our ancestors ate and we have improved our health drastically. And I second you on the salt, it's an essential part of our body chemistry.

As this thread shows by the variety of replies, we really are the only creatures on earth that don't know what we should be eating.
