Bad fuel economy
Hi. I have had my 2016 F350 diesel for almost 5 years. Oil changed every 5,000 miles, fuel filters done annually, air as needed. This summer pulling my 31MB I am averaging about 8.5 mpg when regenerations are included and driving 67 mph on the highway. My driving this year has been in MN, WI, and IA. What kind of mpg are you getting with similar truck and trailer? I didn't write it down but I thought I was getting better mileage than that last summer. Yes, I know it will improve if I do 60 mph. Just wondering.

In the midwest this spring, I got around 10.5 MPG with the rig in my signature (15.3K trailer weight per the scales). Have you had someone put the truck on a computer for a complete diagnostic?

I get about 10.5 mpg at 65 mph with my Silverado 2500 Duramax towing a 312 bhts which is a TT but about same weight and length.

Just a note - length doesn't really affect mileage and travel trailers, at the same weight, will usually result in a bit better mileage because they are not as tall as fifth wheels. Once you get a rig rolling, it's all about frontal area and wind resistance. Rear end ratios and the number of speeds in the transmission make a difference, too (my DRW has a 3.73 rear end and a six-speed transmission... I forgot to mention that).

We average around 10 mpg with our 2013 F250 diesel. I keep speeds to 65 or less. Got 8.5 on Sunday going against strong winds. Pulling a 303 RLS.

I have an F-350 diesel and tow a 303. I regularly get about 11.5 miles/gallon. Rarely over 65 mph, normally stay off the interstates, so we get a chance to see more along the way.

I know you're more than likely looking for diesel comparisons but pulling my 28BH at 10K lbs with my Ram 3500 with 6.4L Hemi and 3.73 gears I see anywhere from 8.5 mpg to 9.6 mpg on our MN roads. Tow between 57 and 60 on two lanes and 67 on roads like 169 or 35W.
