No it doesn't. Simple gauge with a range. I do not run the fuel much below a quarter of a tank. RAM, even with everything stock, the fuel gauge can be questionable below a quarter tank, and running out of fuel in a diesel is not good. Especially, as I am still waiting for the updated fuel pump on mine (factory recall).

Does the group have a preference between Titan or S&B? Or about the same quality?

I had heard good things about both. The Titan was easier to get in a hurry and we were between long trips the first of which we nearly ran the 32gal tank dry on two occasions due to interstate closure and re-routes. On my LB, Titan offered only a 55gal which was OK with me. JMO

The shop that installed mine said that there were some earlier fitment issues with the S&B 52gal in 3500 RAMs but that had been resolved. I know I can't see mine hanging any further below where the original 32gal tank sat.

Both are high quality tanks. I installed my S&B myself in about 4 hours or so. Never looked back.

I've installed both in several different vehicles. Hands down for RAM, S&B all day. It just fits perfectly.

If I recall right, the Titan hangs 2" lower than the stock tank on the RAM's. I would think it would be the same, or close to the same on other brand trucks.

I think the S&B for Ford's hangs down about that much too. Plan to install one this year...

It does, but I can't see it hanging down below the frame when I look from the side. The 60 gal S&B would have been 3/4" lower they just were not available when I was looking.

    Are diesels that difficult?

The S&B hangs down 1.5 inches lower than stock on the GMC. It’s not totally visible because of the step bar I’m using. Have had zero clearance issues.

ID:	44805Thank you all for the input. Instead of getting the used SLT, I opted for a new SLE which is a good bit more dumbed down but most of the trucks that i've had in the past out side of the last one were plain janes and a couple of them didn't even have A/C when we lived in florida. I couldn't see paying another ten grand to get a few extras on a new truck and although the used one only had less than 2500 miles on it and was nice, i've never really had luck with used vehicles so having a new one with full warranty to me was the best thing to do. it came with the fifth wheel prep which the other one didn't. doesn't have the big old center console so you actually have more floor room. although the seat are cloth, they are still heated up front so i'm good with that. The only thing i would have liked is the bed view camera and the running boards are ordered and hopefully will have those installed this week so the wife and myself don't have to struggle getting into the thing. lol
