Have you received any updates on your order? Which trim did you go with?

No news yet. Ordered a Platinum December 7th. I've resigned myself that I may not have it this summer. I wish I could see one to compare it to the Denali. I've never even driven one just always wanted one.

They only started scheduling the high 3 trims in the last few weeks. Hope you get a VIN and production date soon.

I think I am finally ready to pull the trigger on a platinum F350 or 450. There really is no difference in price here in Canada. I've read pretty well everything on these in the past 4 years and am well aware of the differences in the trucks and am mostly interested in the 450 for the turning radius. I am however still thinking about vibrations, wandering associated with the 450... In any case, that will be for me to decide which one.

I assume it is a given I should order the wheel well liners?

What about the "customer placed trailer camera?

The max reclining seats is a $500 CAD option. Not sure that is worth it but the way it's presented seems like the seat with this option also offers more adjustment settings.

The individual trailer TPMS is $575. Is that worth it or is an aftermarket solution cheaper and or better understanding I would add another screen. I have also read that there could be issues transmitting the data with a longer trailer.

Anything I really need to consider I may be missing?

    Thanks for any input.

    I would get the following
    Lay flat seats
Camper package - gets you a good rear sway bar
Instant cab heat - a huge blessing on cold mornings. It also get you the max alternators included
Skid plates - protects the plastic tanks from road debris
LED headlights Huge difference - I love mine
Get Max GVW available - on F350 I think the F450 has it stock.
Of course the 5th wheel prep package.
Long bed if possible get you 48 gallon fuel cell
Last opt for the High output 6.7

To know all of the options search for the rapid speck ordering sheet. You can probably find one on Blue Oval or other Ford sites, or if you dealer is any good they can print one out for you. It gives detailed information on what is in each option.

    Good luck

I will put it this way. I love my F350, it's a great truck; but...

I have driven a friend's F450, and the turning radius makes me envious. I hope you get yours soon!

The OP is looking at ordering a F-450 DRW. Fortunately most of the items you suggested are included as standard in the 450, other than the rapid heat supplemental cabin heat, the fully reclining seats and the High output 6.7L engine. My experience is that F-450 with the standard 3rd generation 6.7L does fine without the additional HO power and torque of the new unproven 1st generation HO engine.

1- The 450 comes standard with a HD rear sway bar,

2- The 450 comes with only one standard GVW available, 14,000 lbs

3- 5th Wheel Prep pkg is standard on ALL 450s

4- Long bed and 48 gal fuel tank is standard on ALL 450s

5- LED lamps are available to all Trims; included in STX and XLT Sport packages and standard Lariat/King Ranch/Platinum/Limited

F350 DRW AND F450 have same GVWR, 14k. My 2023 F450 window sticker says 14k GVWR package and I didn't select any options for weight packages.

The 450 will be overkill for my TT. Once we have it, we will start looking for a toyhauler and pull the trigger on that when the timing (meaning good deal) is right, I assume 2024. We like the 320G, 351M and 351MS. I am also assuming the box will not be too high for these. My thoughts are to have a reese goose box.
