    Solitude window blinds rattle- solutions?

    Hi all,
I know I saw a thread on this site about curing the rattling window blinds in our 2022 Solitude, but for the life of me I can't find it again. Anytime we have the windows open the bottoms of the roller shades clang against the metal window frames like noisy wind chimes. Can't imagine why GD would source blinds with metal base rods. My wife is threatening to cut them off!
    Anyone have solutions?
    Thanks,
    SteveM

What are they rattling against? We don't have a problem with the bottom rods on the blinds rattling.

We have the blackout shades an if they are down or partially down with the windows open, the breeze will push the bottom of the shade between the wall and the valance. For us, not really a rattle but more of a click click. We take the pull cord and tape it to the inside of the valance so the shade it tight, no click click.

We used little precut Velcro circles on each corner of our slides. They come in colors and even clear. Put the Velcro on the shade, raise it to the height you want then press the opposite side against the frame.

Those felt floor protectors that go on the bottoms of chair legs are fantastic for quieting rattles. They can be cut. We have large square ones that we cut to the size we need. Not sure of your specific issue/setup, but it could be stuck to the blind itself or the metal that the blind clanks against, assuming you can hide it. Otherwise, you can get little clear rubber bumpers that are put on the inside corners of kitchen cabinet doors and stick those where needed...

    Our 303 is the same.
Little piece of pipe insulation foam on each end works wonders

A piece of felt glued on works for us.

    Rob,
They rattle against the metal window frames anytime there is a breeze or you bump into them. I see several folks chiming in with solutions so I'll try a few and post results.

That explains it. We never have the windows open unless the blinds are all the way up. Perhaps @stroguy's solution will do the trick.

We use the little clear vinyl bumpers on either side of the rod. Not perfect, but it works.
