Kitchen Slide Floor separates from front wall retracted
2022 341RDS the front kitchen wall of the kitchen slide separating from the floor when the slide fully retracts. This causes the block of molding at that bottom corner to get loose.
It is at the dealership now and all they did was reattach the molding. When the slide is out a few inches the wall and the floor move back into the proper relationship.
Is this a common condition? Should I push the dealership to do more repairs to the slide?

First off, it looks like this is your first post, welcome to the forum. Some pictures might help with the slide issue. I don't have your model so I can't comment directly, but it seems like it could be normal. Slides get a workout on the highway, it's kind of surprising they work at all given the flimsy mechanisms they often have.

Looking at the video in post 5 I would say you have a major structural problem with the slide. This appears to be a through frame slide since I don’t see any gear tracks on the slide wall and I can hear the clutch when fully retracted. On my kitchen slide the inside edge of the floor lifts up 1”+- starting several inches from being fully retracted. On yours the wall lifts up but the floor does not. Reattaching some trim is not going to fix it. I don’t know how the wall and floor are attached but it appears they have come apart. If it were me I would talk to Grand Design customer support, send them the videos and see what they say. You may be looking at slide removal to make the repair. Call support as soon as they open to help reduce wait time on hold.
Does the other end of the slide lift up, floor and wall lift up when the slide is fully retracted?Last edited by Always Learning; 12-18-2022 at 11:20 PM.

It is still at the dealership being repaired. We contacted GD directly and sent them the video. GD sent the dealer the approved warranty claim with detailed instructions on the repair. We are pleased so far with GD handling of the issue.
It is an extensive repair. The slide must be removed. To do you that the recliner, refrigerator, stove, microwave all have to be removed. The cabinets and pantry have to be disassembled. We are concerned that it will be done to our satisfaction.
It should be done in a couple of weeks. I will post the results.

Did you ever get your slide repaired? I’m having this same issue now and curious if you’re satisfied with the repair? Did you find out how they repaired it?
Stupid question, do I need to...
