    Tire Linc Quirks

This season my factory installed Tire Linc system has decided to not work when the rv is not moving. I used to be able to check pressure while in the campsite. But this season, one, two, and sometimes all 4 tires have no signal while stationary. But when I hitch up and roll they all work fine.

    Kind of annoying. Any ideas?

My Tire Link does this too, but only sometimes. But like yours, it seems to be fine when going down the road.

Stroguy. Do you know of a fix for this? Perhaps clean the contacts?

Well if that is the cause, yes sir. I was just spitballing. Pencil eraser and some alcohol. Problem that I cannot remember is when you open that battery compartment does the sensor need to be ‘re-found’ by the system?

    Good luck

I wonder if there is a switch that is activated by tire rotation. Seems a more likely scenario. I’ll see if I can get any infor from the Great Lippert.

There is no switch. It’s supposed to work 24/7, moving or still. Mine served me quite well and was really accurate.

It happens to me too. Although, I've replaced two repeaters (at no cost through Lippert).

Well my tire-linc system has never worked well, but...it is supposed to be an 'always on' system. However, it is designed to update multiple times per minute while moving, and only every 15 minutes when parked. So there must be some form of motion detection. If all four were giving you issues all the time, I would say repeater problem. But since it is one or two sensors sometimes, I would say change out all four batteries before digging any further.

Not sure, but I know for a fact that my TST system that I had prior did this to save batteries in the sensors while sitting still.

Most times, I don't use the Tire Linc, but use a good pressure gauge for pre-trip.
