    We always drained all the oil from our engines in North Dakota in late fall after coming back from the first yeti hunt, but before we set out the snipe traps.

    sounds like some of the advice you get on this forum board. Some times I just wonder what people have been doing all their lives to come up with stuff like that.

    Let’s see…Tractor is in the shed, mower is with it. Generator is on the back porch and the newer truck is parked, keeping the trailer company, both waiting for spring. Sounds like I’ve got a lot of oil to drain. But then, why didn’t I have any issues with this last year? Guess I just didn’t know…

    Here is a good article that provides explanations for ALL fluids you would expect to find in a motor vehicle. Your oil will not freeze and if it did, it will not expand. You need a new friend.
