Thinking about adding a third LiFePO4

After this past season when we did get down to 23% SOC with two BBs on two cloudy days and two nights running the furnace at HH locations, was toying with the idea of adding some extra capacity. I have room in front to put a third battery without mods if I just add it in parallel - not sure if it is worth doing that or re-configuring mounting everything and adding two more. I suspect we will be spending most of our time in the norther tier. Single solar panel has worked well so far but at what capacity point is it no longer sufficient? Would like to extend dry camping time just a bit.

    Thanks,
    John

Buss bars already installed. Two BBs in parallel going to buss bars (and through Victron 712).

You are good to go then. How much solar do you have? With your generator as a backup, you can continue as is. If you feel you are needing the gen. too much, you can add more solar then.

Just the factory panel - 300W.

With the Jaboni controller. That is what I had. If you find that you need more solar, do not try to expand on that system It cannot be done. Been there, done that, and bought the tee shirt.
The best move is to install another system and run them together.... I think. My Jaboni actually failed doing this but, some think I may have stressed it when I added panels to it at first. You may be better off just throwing the Jaboni away and getting a controller that will do what you want. I ended up with Victron stuff. It just works.
